Introducing the Porsche steering wheel retrofit adapter. Upgrade your driving experience by installing an upgraded steering wheel and benefit from increased steering wheel functions, a new look and a new feel.
This adapter will allow you to use a newer generation steering wheel on the following vehicles that also have Multifunction or Heat: 997 (heat not available for 997.1), 987, 991.1, 981, 970, 958.1. The new generation steering wheels that can be used are: 991.2, Macan or Cayenne -95B, 958.2, 991.2, 718.
- Please select the additional (mode selection option when upgrading the steering wheel to the Porsche drivers unit (DRIVING MODE SELECTION DIAL).
- May not be compatible with some aftermarket stereos.
- Coding required (sport shape wheel to multifunction, input "Multifunction enable code") for sport shape steering wheel to multifunction steering wheel upgrades.
- If original steering wheel is the sport shape (With PDK shifts paddles shifters & sport chrono package) no coding is required.
- When upgrading a none heated steering wheel to a heated steering wheel, you will need. to replace the clock spring to support the heat function (PIWIS activate heat function needed).
