Description
Every Premium Bespoke AutoWorks steering wheel is hand-finished to your exact specification on a genuine OEM core. Your car's factory electronics (airbag, horn, adaptive cruise, lane-keep vibration, heated function) all transfer across during installation and operate exactly as they did on the original wheel.
Materials, shape, grip, stitching colour, and optional extras are configured to your build. Each wheel is made to order. No two are identical.
What's Included
What you're buying: Premium Bespoke AutoWorks steering wheels are supplied as the steering wheel frame (the "core"). The plastic trim, electronics, wiring, buttons, and airbag from your original wheel transfer across during installation. This is standard industry practice and preserves the integrity of your vehicle's electrical system.

Upgrading from an older model? If you're fitting a newer-generation wheel to an older car (for example, fitting a current M3 wheel to an older BMW), your order includes the additional loom, buttons, and airbag required for the upgrade to work. Confirmed when you request a bespoke quote.
What's not in the box: fitting instructions. Step-by-step installation guidance for your specific vehicle lives in our online Support Guides library so we can keep content up to date as platforms evolve. Your chosen fitter can access the same guides.
Lead Times
Build time is 10 to 25 working days from spec confirmation. Most builds fall in the middle of that range. LED displays, certain custom materials, and peak season orders can push timing toward the upper end. See the FAQ tab for how spec confirmation works and when your build clock starts.
UK delivery after build: 1 to 2 working days via tracked courier. European delivery: 3 to 5 working days. Rest of world: 5 to 10 working days via tracked international carrier. Taxes and import duties for orders outside the UK are the buyer's responsibility.
You'll receive a dispatch notification with tracking details the moment your wheel leaves our workshop.
Fitment
Installation
Premium Bespoke AutoWorks is an ecommerce business. Your wheel is delivered to your door, ready to fit. We do not install wheels ourselves and we don't maintain a list of recommended installers.
How to fit yours: step-by-step fitting guides for the most common platforms are available in our Support Guides library. Installation typically takes 1 to 2 hours.
Finding a fitter: installation should be carried out by a qualified auto specialist familiar with airbag-equipped vehicles. We recommend sourcing a fitter with experience in aftermarket modifications and steering wheel work specifically — this kind of swap is more involved than a standard service item, and an experienced fitter is faster, cleaner, and less likely to leave you with fault codes to clear afterwards.

Warranty & Returns
Warranty. Every Premium Bespoke AutoWorks wheel carries a 12-month warranty from the date of delivery, covering manufacturing defects, material failures, and electronic function issues in components supplied by us. The warranty covers free repair or replacement of the wheel core, leather, carbon, stitching, and any fitted LED hardware. Damage from incorrect installation, accident, or modification after delivery is not covered.
Returns on custom-made wheels. Because each wheel is built to your exact specification, custom-made wheels are not eligible for change-of-mind returns under UK distance selling regulations. Wheels that arrive damaged, defective, or incorrectly configured against your order will be repaired, replaced, or refunded at our discretion within the warranty period.
Stock wheels. In-stock wheels shipped ready-made carry a 14-day return window from delivery, provided the wheel is unused and in original packaging. Return shipping is paid by the buyer.

FAQ
How long does the build take?
10 to 25 working days from spec confirmation, not from the date of checkout. After you place your order, we'll be in touch within one business day to confirm your specification in writing, and the build clock starts at that point. You'll receive updates at key stages and a dispatch notification when it leaves the workshop.
Will my airbag and electronics still work?
For most orders, yes. The wheel is built on a genuine OEM core and your vehicle's factory electronics transfer across during fitting. That said, retention of driver-assist features (lane-keep, adaptive cruise, hands-free, touch sensors) can never be guaranteed across every vehicle. In rare cases a warning light or error code may appear, which may require dealer-level coding to clear. By purchasing, you accept this risk.
I'm ordering a wheel with LED shift lights. Anything I need to know?
Yes. LED steering wheels must be fitted by a qualified automotive technician. Each vehicle needs a reliable 12V power source identified, and depending on your car this can involve running custom wiring through the clock spring. Remote troubleshooting is not possible. Please confirm your chosen installer is comfortable with this type of work before ordering. LED steering wheels are non-returnable and non-refundable.
Do I need to send my original wheel in?
No. Your order is built from a fresh OEM core. You keep your original wheel.
What if I'm upgrading from an older model?
Fitting a newer-generation wheel to an older car? Your order includes the additional loom, buttons, and airbag required to make the upgrade work on your vehicle. Confirmed at quote stage.
Manual car: will I have paddle holes?
Yes. For platforms that offered both manual and automatic transmissions, we produce a single wheel with paddle mounting holes rather than two separate versions. This keeps pricing viable on lower-volume builds. The holes are small and sit behind the wheel, not visible from the driver's seat.
Can I finance this?
Yes. Klarna is available at checkout. Split into 3 interest-free instalments or spread over longer terms, subject to eligibility.
Do you ship outside the UK?
Yes. We ship worldwide via tracked courier. International orders are the buyer's responsibility for local taxes and import duties.
What if I need a spec that isn't in the configurator?

Every Premium Bespoke AutoWorks wheel is built from the ground up. Eight decisions shape the wheel that goes into your car.
Top Section
Top arc finish. Alcantara, leather, perforated leather, or carbon fibre.
Bottom Section
Same options as the top. Alcantara, leather, perforated leather, or carbon fibre.
Grip Material
Side grips. Mix or match the top section.
Airbag Cover
Leather or Alcantara wrap on the centre airbag pad.
